Three Ways to Overcome Pain, Stress and Sleeplessness

It’s not easy being a woman these days. So many of us are wearing too many different hats. And man, are we ever busy:

We have careers, and families and friends to tend to. We want to be healthy (mentally and physically). We’re looking to have fun. Yet, with so much going on we’re tired, we’re stressed, and we’re looking for ways to help us through the day.

Working, running a business, or being a full time parent, all have their challenges and mental stresses. Sometimes, they can keep you up all night with anxiety and racing thoughts.

Meanwhile, on the home front, women are often the CEO, the CFO,, and COO (HR, and paid like an intern)! We should admit to ourselves that we’re running things like a boss. With all of the craziness, there come aches and pains that keep us from a restful night. It’s a vicious circle. Millions of American women are not enjoying the best life they potentially can have. Stress, chronic pain, and sleeplessness are taking a toll on all of us and leading to burnout. Although this may look like a bleak picture, there is good news! Despite all these challenges women face, there are several solutions to managing mental stress, pain, and sleep issues.

Self Care

One of the easiest ways to combat stress, chronic pain and lack of sleep is to give yourself some TLC. If you spend any time on Pinterest, you’re bound to see tips on self-care. It’s a huge trend right now because we’re seeking balance in our lives!

Self-care can be many things. For some women, it’s making time for physical activity, meditation and use of healing oils such as CBD oils. Simple things such as fitting in a short walk or workout, or meditating in a quiet room can go a long way in making you feel better.

More recently CBD oil has come to the forefront as part of self-care routines. It’s been shown to help with reducing stress and anxiety, chronic pain and sleeplessness. Try using CBD oil in your soothing bubble baths and night-time skincare routines.

Mindfulness and Self-reflection

The easiest way to relieve stress is to take a moment to yourself. Focusing on positivity instead of negativity can even help alleviate chronic pain and sleeplessness. Whether it’s through practicing mindfulness, or self-reflection or even taking a moment for spiritual prayer, your body and mind are taking a much-needed break.

So load up a relaxing app on your phone, listen to a guided meditation playlist on Spotify, or play some ambient music and take a moment to breathe, relax and find your equilibrium.

Exercise

Scientists have found that regular participation in aerobic exercise has been shown to decrease overall levels of tension, elevate and stabilize mood, improve sleep, and improve self-esteem. About five minutes of aerobic exercise can begin to stimulate anti-anxiety effects

Coaching

When in need, seek help!

Working with experts who guide you through your issues is one of the ways women are combatting stress, pain, and sleeplessness. The best known are life coaches, that help you identify what’s stressing you out, find ways to manage it.

Less well-known but effective are pain coaches and sleep coaches that help patients manage chronic pain and sleep issues. If you decide to start with some self-care, check out our CBD bath, body and vaping products that are a perfect addition to a relaxation routine!
