Top reasons you should add CBD to your new year's resolutions and other tips to stay on track.

Looking forward to the new year like - Hallelujah! Out with the old and in with the new vibes! Then it hits...

Oh god, Resolutions. 🙈

The dreaded “R” word. The problem with resolutions is, so many of us make them, we do it every year but how many of us actually keep them, or complete them?

“Studies have shown that less than 25% of people actually stay committed to their resolutions after just 30 days, and only 8% accomplish them. Don’t be part of that statistic. - Forbes

Soooo - still want to make some resolutions? We have some tips to help you keep them.

Use CBD to help with your Resolutions

CBD is known to do so much for overall health, it most certainly can help with your resolutions.

Start with mindfulness

Seriously, we know it sounds hokey, BUT it’s not. Mindfulness works because it helps you focus on what you want, and how to achieve it. CBD can help you become more self-aware, and that is the first step to understanding and achieving your goals.

Get more sleep

Sleep is vital to your physical, and mental health. Sleeping is known to reduce stress, improve your memory, lower blood pressure, increase your ability to fight infection and heal injuries, make you happier, and even make you … smarter.

If you’re having issues falling asleep and staying asleep, introducing CBD can help you, and then you can reap the benefits from a good night’s sleep.

Reduce Stress

Along with helping you sleep, studies have shown that CBD helps with anxiety and relieving stress.

Reduced stress, will allow you to do more, participate more and feel like yourself. Not having that nagging anxiety is most certainly going to help you achieve your goals.

Increase Physical Activity

One of your goals is to get fit, but working out hurts, and post workout recovery is hard. We know, we experience it all the time.

Many use CBD, which is known to help reduce pain and delayed onset-muscle soreness. It also helps with muscle tension, and inflammation.

If improving your overall health, or any part of it is part of your list of resolutions, then introducing CBD to your life, will most certainly help.

You’re probably wondering what other tips we have up our sleeves. Well, no need to wonder, here is a list of other tips to help you keep your resolutions for the new year.

Review how last year went

  1. What went well, what went okay, and what didn't?
  2. Did you overindulge too often?
  3. Did you reach your health goals?
  4. How often were you happy?
  5. Did you do anything meaningful?

From the above analysis, what have you gathered from the last year that you want to leave there, and what do you want to bring with you into the next year? Have you considered what you want to accomplish?

Don’t overdo it with goals!

Seriously so many of us choose 5 or more resolutions. Keep it short and simple, perhaps 2 maximum. For example instead of choosing resolutions like losing weight, going to the gym and quitting smoking, why not just make the resolution about going to the gym. Once you make it a habit, you’ll start eating better and be driven by results. At some point, you’ll likely even quit smoking.

One good habit can turn into many new lifestyle changes, that will propel you to be a better version of you.

If you’re looking for a way to make your resolutions more achievable, why not apply the SMART goal setting philosophy?

Applying the SMART goals philosophy to your resolutions

Applying smart goals will help guide you through your goal setting and achieving journey.

SMART stands for:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable
  • Relevant / Realistic
  • Time bound

In other words, set goals that are clear and defined, not loosey goosey. Your goals should be measurable through specific criteria that can track your progress. Each goal should actually be something you can achieve. Let’s not be setting impossible goals. Each goal or resolution you set needs to be relevant, and realistically part of your life’s purpose. Every goal and every resolution needs to have a clearly established timeline, including a start date, and deadline!
